| If you are interested in a Commissioned Portrait please contact me via email. Email Laurie here Your portrait will be created using ONLY your high quality photos . The color tone and quality of an emailed photo is not acceptable; unless I personally know the subject, I cannot re-produce his/her exact color and spirit based off photos with incorrect color tones, etc, such as what is normally produced by emailed duplicates. It is equally important to me, as well as you, that I capture the true spirit and personality of the animal, so the quality of the photos is critical. In addition, as many photos of the animal as you can send is a huge benefit; especially a close up photo of the subject's eye. Even if they are not in the pose to be painted, it gives me an even better feel for the spirit of the subject and it's personality. If you would like advice on taking good pictures, please email me for tips on picture taking. All photos will be returned to you. Furthermore, any details you can provide of the subject's personality will affect and be inspired into your portrait. I use the highest quality materials available, and the portraits are filled with detail, light, and vibrant color! Portraits may take 2-8 weeks to complete depending upon my schedule of work. Color Portraits are done in oil-pastels, or in oils upon special request. You may also choose the graphite/pencil medium. We will take all the time necessary to make these decisions together if you wish, as it is at least as important to me, as it is to you, that you are thrilled with, and cherish the outcome! When you commission the portrait, a non-refundable down payment of 1/2 the purchase price will be required before work on the portrait begins. I will email or fax you a "proof" of the artwork to show you the finished portrait. Once you have received a proof of the completed image, the remaining balance is due. Upon payment of the remaining balance, the portrait will be sent to you immediately. Payment for commissions is to be made via Check (all funds must clear before delivery of product), Money Order, or Certified Check. Cost of Packaging, shipping, insurance, and confirmation of delivery is additional. I do require shipping insurance and confirmation of delivery. Custom matting and framing is additional, and available upon request. I strongly recommend it, as additional protection of your collectible piece of art. As you will be framing the artwork anyway, why not do it all at once, and receive a piece of art "Wall" ready? We deal exclusively with a frame shop that I judge as artists unto themselves; their work is impeccable, and highly professional. You will not be disappointed!
